Roddy Dowdell
CEO

Hi, my name is Roddy, and I’m the founder and CEO of Rodman basketball club, with over 30+ yearsโ€™ experience as both a player and coach. The Rodman journey started back in 2015 with the Avengers academy which then became our club as we know it today. The opportunity to build a club from the ground up and establish a strong foundation both on and off the court is something I am very proud of. I have played at both country and district level 1 and have been mentored and supported by some highly creditable coaches. In addition to playing, I have coached at domestic, district, youth league level in various divisions and age groups.

I am also an experienced and accredited basketball skills development trainer/coach working with players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to professionals. I am passionate about helping players develop their skills and reach their full potential on the court. The techniques and training methods to help players improve their ball handling, shooting, footwork, and overall game is a real focus and brings me joy when I see athletes develop their craft.

In addition to skills development, I have key attributes to help motivate and inspire athletes, by creating a positive and supportive training environment that helps players feel confident and motivated.

My love and passion for the game of basketball runs deep and have loved this game as long as I can remember, itโ€™s been a constant source of joy and inspiration in my life and I will always cherish.
I look forward to the Rodman journey ahead, lets get it.

Jade Peel
Secretary & Merchandise Coordinator

Hi, I’m Jade, and I wear many hats at the Rodman Basketball Club. As the club secretary, treasurer, merchandise coordinator, and social media content manager, I’m dedicated to ensuring our club runs smoothly and successfully. My son plays within the club, and I find immense joy in being involved and supporting him, as well as all the other talented young athletes.
I love helping in every way I can, from club administration to managing club finances to organising merchandise and creating engaging social media content. The best part of my role is the wonderful people I meet along the way and seeing the kids’ smiles as they enjoy the game and grow as players.
I’m always happy to assist everyone and am committed to making the Rodman Basketball Club a positive and thriving community for all.
